We are about to begin the bowls for an Empty Bowls event that will be for Lamb House in Newport News, VA.  Lamb House is the central site for several area ministries that seek to assist with the felt needs of the poor and underemployed in the Hampton Roads area.  The Lamb House staff and board will be planning the events and Hallelujahman Pottery will provide most of the bowls.  We do anticipate that other potters in the area will be providing bowls as well.  All of the funds raised will go to feed folks who are hungry or challenged to provide enough food for their families.  More to come on this event.

Welcome to hallelujahman pottery.  Hallelujahman pottery is Mary and Wayne Lewis.  We have been making pots for just ten years.  During that time we have come to appreciate the process of pottery and how this process relates to how we live, grow and serve those around us.  We are Christians and believe that an imperative of our Christian faith is that we lead a quiet, generous, gentle life that honors God and lifts up Jesus.  We have found that the process of pottery helps us to lead that life.

We also see our friends and neighbors in our pottery and through pottery have learned to respect each of them for the power and action of the Potter’s hand on their lives.  We are each His creation and, for that reason, love and respect each other regardless of the clay or process the Potter used to form us.
